About

The  Live Imaging Workshop aimed to provide theoretical background and hands-on experience on  imaging techniques and tools for basic Biomedical Researchers.  In addition, to help those who had no experience in Molecular Biology, we had a basic lab on how to amplify and purify plasmids for cell culture transfection.

The Workshop was held at the CEFAP auditorium of the Instituto de Ciências Biomédicas, at the São Paulo campus from September 26-30, 2016.

The Workshop was structured into three main topics:

  • Principles of Image Aquisition and Processing
  • Basic Bacterial Transformation and Plasmid Purification
  • Live imaging

These topics were be ministered by:

  • Shankar Srinivas (University of Oxford)
  • Irene Yan (ICB USP)
  • Mario Costa Cruz (CEFAP USP)

THE WORKSHOP HAS ENDED, AND THIS SITE IS NOW A REPOSITORY OF THE MATERIAL THAT WAS BROACHED IN THE WORKSHOP.
